CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today released a video message ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving is such a special time of year, especially in West Virginia.
It’s a time when we gather with our friends and loved ones, a time when we celebrate our family traditions, and a time when we probably eat too much food!
But, Thanksgiving is more than just festivities.
It’s a time for us to ponder the lessons that we have learned.
It’s a time to reflect on the memories and people who came into our lives.
It’s a time to cherish the moments we spend with one another.
And, it’s a time to truly recognize all that we are thankful for.
Whether it’s family, friends, good health, the selfless men and women in uniform who protect our cherished freedoms, or the opportunity to serve our great state.
I recognize that I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
As you join together with your loved ones this Thanksgiving, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we all have as West Virginians and as Americans.
