Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) today released the following statement on the passing of former Michigan Senator Carl Levin:
“I’m saddened by the passing of Carl Levin. Carl was already an institution in the Senate by the time I arrived in 2005. Our political beliefs might have been on opposite ends of the spectrum, but we agreed on the importance of working across the aisle to get things done. He took his job seriously and never lost sight of the people he was working for back home in Michigan. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they mourn his loss.”
