Washington, DC – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and, both members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $448,352 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support STEM education focused projects at Fairmont State University and Concord University.
“The National Science Foundation continues to be a great partner for West Virginia colleges and universities, and I’m pleased with these continued investments in our state. The research projects at Concord University and Fairmont State College will support innovation in Appalachia and expand teacher education programs in STEM. I look forward to seeing the benefits of these critical initiatives, and I will continue to advocate for research and educational opportunities here in the Mountain State,” Senator Manchin said.
