WASHINGTON—Senator Stabenow released this statement following the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act in the U.S. Senate.
“The Respect for Marriage Act will guarantee marriage equality for all Americans and ensure that families are protected no matter where they live or travel. If a marriage is recognized in Michigan, then it should be recognized in Mississippi and Montana too. I’m proud that the Senate took a stand for equality and love today.”
