Cantwell Statement on Texas Abortion Ban
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement about the Texas abortion ban:
“The Texas abortion ban is an assault on women’s health care, including basic reproductive rights. I will continue to fight to protect the right to reproductive health care, including legal abortion, no matter where a woman resides. It’s urgent that Congress pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify reproductive rights in federal law.”
Senator Cantwell is a cosponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act that was introduced last June.
