BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today commended the service of the North Dakota National Guard’s Company C 2-285th Aviation Battalion at a homecoming ceremony in Bismarck. The guardmembers honored today have returned from the National Capital Region where they spent nine months supporting the Joint Emergency Evacuation Plan. Hoeven, joined by Governor Doug Burgum, Adjutant General Alan Dohrmann, Senator Kevin Cramer and others, highlighted his ongoing support for the men and women of the North Dakota National Guard.
“Today we welcome home the men and women who have spent nine months ensuring the security of our nation’s capital,” said Hoeven. “We offer our gratitude and continued support as we join the guardmembers’ families and loved ones in celebrating a mission well done and their safe return home.”
