WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) issued the following statement after the Biden administration announced it would finally lift the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for federal workers and federal contractors, health care workers, as well as foreign air travelers to the United States, on May 11, 2023, along with the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency:
“President Biden’s federal vaccine mandate wreaked havoc on Americans. Ignoring science and common sense, the Biden approach made a difficult time worse amid dismal economic growth and soaring inflation. The American people are hungry for a leader that respects and celebrates individual and religious freedom, and that’s what I will continue to fight for.”
