Sen. Cramer: NDDOT Awarded $1.3 Million in Emergency Relief for Recent Floods

BISMARCK, N.D. – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, announced today the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) was awarded $1,250,947.87 in emergency relief from the  U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration. 

Beginning on March 16, 2020, North Dakota experienced widespread flooding of state and county roadways. These funds will repair or reconstruct federal-aid highways and roads that suffered serious damage as a result of recent natural disasters. Eligible repair work includes emergency repairs needed to restore essential traffic, minimize the extent of damage, or protect the remaining facilities as well as permanent repairs necessary to restore the highway to its pre-disaster condition.
