WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today addressed the developing situation in Ukraine during an interview on Fox News.

  • GRAHAM: “What we’re doing is not working. The bottom line is Putin deserves to be sanctioned now. He’s put over 100,000 troops on the Ukraine border. We’re having to withdraw American citizens and government officials because of the provocation…I think the Ukrainians will fight, and I want to support moving more troops into NATO countries living in the shadow of Russia to show resolve regarding NATO. We’re talking way too much. We’re doing way too little. Sanction Putin now.” https://youtu.be/Om5DA3oP-Sw?t=10
  • GRAHAM: “[A cyberattack] would be an act of war. If a foreign power blows up a power plant, I would consider that an act of war against the American people. If you shut down a power grid or water supply, that would be an act of war. Whether you use a bomb or cyber techniques, it’s all the same consequence to us. So I’d put Putin on notice – if there’s a cyberattack against critical American infrastructure, we’re going to respond in kind.” https://youtu.be/Om5DA3oP-Sw?t=177
  • GRAHAM: “The only reason we’re dealing with all this provocation is because Afghanistan showed the world that Joe Biden is weak, and weakness in one area increases aggression in other areas…if we don’t get Ukraine right, if Putin dismembers Ukraine without consequence, China will surely go into Taiwan, and the most consequential change of all will be the Iranians will break out and try to get a bomb.” https://youtu.be/Om5DA3oP-Sw?t=216
