WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $361,000 through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for cancer detection and diagnosis research at West Virginia University (WVU).
“WVU has established itself as a leader in research capabilities, and provides critical health services to people across our state,” Senator Capito said. “It’s important that resources remain available to our medical professionals and students so they can continue expanding their skills and capabilities regarding cancer detection and diagnosis. I’m proud to help make this announcement today, and I look forward to continued medical progress being made in Morgantown.”
