WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, released the following statement in response to inflation surging by 6.8 percent in the last year, the highest rate since 1982.
“Joe Biden is breaking records, but not the good kind. Under the failed Biden economy, Americans are facing the highest inflation in nearly 40 years. With costs up for just about everything, inflation is taking a massive bite out of everyone’s paychecks. Families are especially feeling the pain at the pump and at the grocery store.
“We all know unhinged Democrat spending is driving this. Instead of hitting the brakes on reckless spending, Democrats want to spend trillions more. As usual, it’s American families who will be left to pay the price.”
