WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) today issued the following statement regarding the announcement of an agreement to conference the Senate-passed United States Innovation and Competition Act, also known as the Endless Frontier Act:

“Despite months of delays from House Democrats who have been more focused on passing their tax and spend agenda than out-competing the Chinese Communist Party, tonight we finally took a step forward with the announcement that the United States Innovation and Competition Act (USICA) will move to a conference committee. As the Chinese Communist Party ramped up their lobbying efforts against my bill in recent days, tonight’s decision to move forward sends a message back to Beijing that we have no intentions of backing down. The Senate approved USICA with an overwhelming bipartisan majority in June and we intend to finish that work in the coming weeks. The result will be a historic investment in emerging technologies that will ensure the United States leads the world into the future,” Senator Young said.
