Sen. Marshall Announces Kenya Cox as District Director

(Wichita, KS, November 1, 2021) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. has announced the hiring of Kenya Cox as District Director for the state’s 4th Congressional District. She will be based out of Wichita. 
“Kenya has a long and successful history of serving the people of Kansas in both state and federal offices and is well-known in the Wichita community,” said Senator Marshall. “Her dedication to her community and experiences with a wide array of issues and organizations compliment my mission to serve the people and places of Kansas. I look forward to working with Kenya to ensure we are meeting the needs and effectively representing all communities in South-Central Kansas.”
Background:
In her capacity for Senator Marshall, Cox will be responsible for representing the Senator at meetings and events in the 4th Congressional District as well as advising the Senator on the needs, issues, and opportunities in the region. 
Cox joins the team after serving as the Executive Director for the Kansas African American Affairs Commission. She previously worked for the Kansas Department for Children and Families and was a staff member in the offices of U.S. Representatives Todd Tiahart and Mike Pompeo.
Growing up in Wichita, Cox graduated from Cowley County Community College and attended Wichita State University. She currently resides in Wichita with her husband, Gary. The couple has two children and one grandchild.
