Brown Announces $1.5 Million for Runway Improvements at Pickaway County Memorial Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded two grants to the Pickaway County Memorial airport, totaling $1,500,000.

“Ohio airports are vital infrastructure supporting travel and commerce in our state,” said Brown. “This investment will provide Pickaway County Memorial Airport with the resources they need to ensure the safety of their passengers and support the local economy for years to come.”

FAA Funds going to Pickaway County Memorial Airport include:

  • $500,000 grant for rehabilitation of the runway lighting.
  • $1,000,000 grant for rehabilitation of the runway.

The FAA supports public-use airports included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) through the Airport Improvement Program.
