Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) issued the following statement regarding his vote against proceeding to the yet to be finished infrastructure package:
“Senator Schumer’s decision to force a vote on a measure that does not yet exist doomed this procedural vote from the start. Despite this, I expect negotiators will continue to work towards an agreement. Should they reach one, I will consider it based on its substance.”
