WASHINGTON – Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, delivered remarks during an event on Wednesday hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Indiana University Public Policy Institute focused on enhancing the regional impact of the CHIPS and Science Act.
Young helped author the legislation, which was signed into law last year.
“The CHIPS and Science Act will help connect more of our citizens to, broadly speaking, this innovation economy, not just in the semiconductor field. And as most of you know, the law is already jumpstarting semiconductor production here in the United States, including in the industrial Midwest,” said Young, during the event.
Video of Young’s remarks is available here. The senator also participated in a Q&A following his remarks with Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.). A transcript of his address and the Q&A is available here.
