Hoeven: FAA Awards $11 Million in Grants to North Dakota Airports

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded more than $11 million to the following North Dakota airports for projects including runway, taxiway, terminal and lighting improvements, as well as upgrades to snow removal equipment and facilities:

  • Jamestown Regional Airport- $7,007,500
  • Minot International Airport – $980,000
  • Ellendale Airport – $600,000
  • Linton Municipal Airport – $528,093
  • Kenmare Municipal Airport – $459,786
  • Gwinner Municipal Airport – $448,000
  • Mercer County Regional Airport – $300,000
  • Standing Rock Airport – $300,000
  • Barnes County Municipal Airport – $203,000
  • International Peace Garden Airport – $185,000
  • Watford City Airport – $72,000
  • Wahpeton Airport – $35,000

“These grants will help improve our airports, and ensure they are safe and efficient for travelers now and into the future,” said Hoeven.
