WASHINGTON – Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) joined 26 of his colleagues in championing a bipartisan resolution celebrating National Charter School Week and commending charter schools for their contributions to education.
“Hoosier students and families deserve to choose the type of school that best meets their needs, including high-quality public charter schools,” said Senator Young. “I’m proud to support this National Charter School Week resolution to celebrate the students, parents, teachers, and leaders of charter schools.”
During the 2021-2022 school year, there were 120 charter schools operating in Indiana, up from 11 in 2002. They provide students across the state with an educational experience that best suits their needs.
