LINCOLN, NEB. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after the Nebraska Air National Guardannounced it will receive a KC-135 Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) Simulator from the U.S. Air Force:
“This announcement is another testament to the important work our Nebraska National Guard and Lincoln aviation community do every day to maintain our nation’s military readiness.
“This simulator will help the National Guard train aircrews throughout the region and continue its important mission.
“As a senior member of the Armed Services Committee, I look forward to continuing my work to ensure our state receives the resources it needs to support our national defense.”
The KC-135 Stratotanker supplies critical aerial refueling capabilities to U.S. forces, including STRATCOM missions.
