Sen. Cramer: North Dakota Airports Receive $2.4 Million for Infrastructure Improvements

BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, announced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded a total of $2,446,000 to North Dakota regional airports.

The resources are from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and will be administered as outlined below.  

  • Jamestown Regional Airport: $705,000 to rehabilitate parts of Taxiway E, several general aviation aprons, and multiple taxilanes
  • Linton Municipal Airport Authority: $304,000 to reconstruct 1,750 feet of the existing access road
  • Wahpeton Airport Authority: $304,000 to repair 5,700 feet of Taxiway A pavement
  • Kenmare Municipal Airport Authority: $304,000 to reconstruct 1,750 feet of the existing access road
  • Barnes County Municipal Airport Authority: $247,000 to acquire a replacement carrier vehicle and snow blower attachment
  • Standing Rock Tribe: $223,000 to construct a 400-square-foot terminal building, including a pilot briefing area for flight planning and coordination
  • Gwinner Municipal Airport Authority: $200,000 to reconstruct 200 feet of existing taxilane pavement
  • Casselton Regional Airport Authority: $159,000 to reconstruct 1,750 feet of the existing access road
