Cassidy Announces $15.6 Million in Hurricanes Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive a total of $15,588,358.69 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricanes Laura and Ida. 

“Our communities are resilient despite the damage from Hurricanes Laura and Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help Louisiana fully recover and prepare for the next natural disaster.”

This grant will provide federal funding for debris removal and monitoring operations as a result of Hurricane Ida.
