WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, announced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded North Dakota $18,914,000 to address emerging contaminants in drinking water.
These resources were allocated in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and will be administered as grants through the EPA’s Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities (EC-SDC) Program, the goal of which is to promote access to safe and clean water in rural communities and support local economies. Senator Cramer helped lead negotiations and passage of the IIJA water provisions in the EPW Committee.
