BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) joined David Asman on Fox Business’ Kudlow to discuss the Biden Administration’s backwards energy policies. Excerpts and full video below.

On Biden Administration’s Proposal to Tax Oil, Gas Producers:

“In his State of the Union address, [President Biden] said, ‘we’re going to put [oil and gas producers] out of business in ten years. We only need oil for ten more years. In the meantime, though, we’re going to double the tax on you – you’re making way too much money – and God forbid you’d spend any of that money reinvesting and producing more oil to bring down the price of gasoline and bring down inflation, and make us a safer nation, and [contribute to] a cleaner environment.’ It’s the most absurd policy.”

On Strategic Petroleum Reserve Withdrawal:

“That Strategic Petroleum Reserve was put in place at a time when we did not have the abundance we have today of oil in this country. It’s an emergency reserve for things like hurricanes and wars. The only time it’s ever been drawn down previously are during those types of emergencies. The good news is, when the SPR goes to zero, you still have the Bakken, you still have the major plays in the United States of America, except [President Biden] won’t let us drill there.”
