Sen. Cramer Receives Life Protector Award from North Dakota Right to Life

BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) received the Life Protector Award from the North Dakota Right to Life (NDRL) and issued the following statement:

“Thank you for the honor of this award and your commitment to advancing the work it represents. It was wonderful to be in the company of individuals so dedicated to being voices for the voiceless, and I look forward to supporting efforts to protect life in the 118th Congress.”

117th Congress Highlights:

  • In November 2022, Senator Cramer co-sponsored the Arrest Murderers Not Ministers Act, a bill requiring the Department of Justice (DOJ) to redirect law enforcement resources from prosecuting nonviolent pro-life advocates to prosecuting offenders who have committed crimes of violence, drug trafficking – specifically involving fentanyl and synthetic opioids – or illegal immigration.
  • In July 2022, Senator Cramer introduced the Unborn Child Support Act, bicameral legislation to give mothers the ability to receive child support payments while they are pregnant. A few months later, he wrote an op-ed on the bill and the increased responsibility to protect and support women and unborn children.
  • In June 2022, Senator Cramer and his Senate colleagues introduced a resolution celebrating the pro-life movement on its victory in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Click here to read the Senator’s statement on the Supreme Court Decision.
  • In July 2021, Senator Cramer joined over 200 members of Congress in filing an amicus brief supporting the State of Mississippi in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and the state’s law protecting life.
  • In June 2021, Senator Cramer joined colleagues on a letter to the Senate Democratic Leader backing the Hyde Amendment.
  • In January 2021, Senator Cramer delivered remarks to pro-life marchers at a rally on the North Dakota Capitol grounds.
