Denver — Today, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet announced that he will join U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), and Ted Budd (R-N.C.) in a bipartisan delegation to the Abraham Accords member countries of Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Morocco.
“This trip is an opportunity to reinforce America’s bipartisan commitment to peace in the Middle East by fostering enduring diplomatic, security, economic, and cultural bonds between these countries and the United States,” said Bennet. “I look forward to meeting with regional partners and allies to strengthen relationships across a broad and important agenda, including energy, commerce, and protecting the region and our own U.S. security interests from Iran’s malign influence and aggression.”
During the bipartisan congressional delegation, Senator Bennet and his colleagues will see firsthand how the Abraham Accords have strengthened regional integration and cooperation, and they will discuss how to reinforce and expand these Accords going forward.
