WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) released the following statement on the death of longtime Cincinnati health leader Dr. O’dell Owens:
“Jane and I are heartbroken to learn of the passing of our good friend Dr. O’dell Owens. O’dell was a giant in the Cincinnati health care community and he will be missed tremendously,” said Portman. “His contributions in private practice and in public service made our community healthier and saved lives. He served with distinction as medical director of the Cincinnati Health Department, as Hamilton County Coroner and at Cincinnati State. He will be missed deeply by our community and his many friends.”
