Today, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) voted in favor of a bill on the Senate floor entitled The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act of 2022. This comprehensive, bipartisan legislation would deliver all generations of toxic-exposed veterans their earned health care and benefits. The legislation passed by a vote of 84-14.
“As we work to ensure our nation’s military is provided for, it is also vitally important that our veterans receive the care and benefits they have rightfully earned,” Inhofe said. “I am proud to support legislation paving the way for those who have sacrificed for this country to receive the care they deserve. This legislation, when enacted into law, will expand Veteran Affairs health care eligibility to post-9/11 combat veterans and create a framework to ensure continued care for veterans suffering from illnesses related to toxic exposure. I commend Sens. Moran and Tester for their leadership on this important issue.”
