WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) recognized two Hoosier students who participated in his spring internship program in Washington, D.C.
Caroline Boyd, a sophomore at George Mason University from Columbia City, and Jonathan LaRosa, a graduate of Indiana University from Indianapolis, assisted legislative and communications staff with daily activities and special projects.
“I applied because I admire Senator Young’s work in foreign affairs legislation, and knew it would be a great opportunity to learn more while serving my state,” said Caroline Boyd, Columbia City.
“[I applied for the internship] to gain first-hand experience of the legislative process of policy-making and understand better the relation between the American people and government,” said Jonathan LaRosa, Indianapolis.
Senator Young’s office offers internship opportunities year-round, in both his D.C. and Indianapolis offices. The internship program offers students the opportunity to experience the legislative branch of government and serve Hoosiers.
