WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the following statement after his meeting with Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson:
“I just had the opportunity to meet in person with Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who has been nominated for the U.S. Supreme Court. In our meeting and in the confirmation process so far, I found her to be an exceptionally well-qualified and engaging person of great warmth and character, whose professional and personal experience brings breadth and depth to the work of the Supreme Court in a very positive way. I am very comfortable supporting her, and I frankly would struggle to see how someone would not vote to confirm this historic nominee to serve on the Supreme Court.”
