U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement after Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the United States has given the “green light” to NATO countries if they choose to provide fighter jets to Ukraine.
“Great. Let’s get NATO’s MiGs to Ukraine’s Air Force, and then let’s resupply our allies with American fighters. Ukraine needs a massive Lend-Lease program and the United States and our NATO allies need to keep them in the fight — in the skies and in the streets — for as long as it takes.”
