Sen. Cramer Joins Senate Ukraine Caucus

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement today announcing he joined the bipartisan Senate Ukraine Caucus:

“As Russian aggression against Ukraine continues to intensify, it is incredibly important to be a part of this bipartisan caucus and demonstrate Congress’ enduring support for their country. The Senate Ukraine Caucus demonstrates to Vladimir Putin there is strong unity, respect, and support for the freedom-loving Ukrainian people and their independence,” said Senator Cramer.“There are many North Dakotans who live in and do business in Ukraine, and there are many North Dakotans whose ancestry is from Ukraine. They do an excellent job representing their ancestry in our state, and I aim to represent them well here in the U.S. Senate.”

This immediately follows his trip to Ukraine last week, where the senator metwith Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Launched in 2015, the goal of the bipartisan Senate Ukraine Caucus is to strengthen the political, military, economic, and cultural relationship between the U.S. and Ukraine.
