WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, joined his colleagues in traveling to Ukraine this week to meet with President Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian officials to reaffirm the U.S.’ commitment to Ukraine, which continues to face an increasingly belligerent Russia. They will meet with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well as other Ukraine officials later today.
“Russia continues to challenge Ukraine’s sovereignty, democratic values, and way of life. This is unacceptable and we must reaffirm our commitment to the Ukrainians in the face of this aggression,” said Senator Cramer. “Our bipartisan delegation demonstrates to Vladimir Putin the United States’ resolve and sends the message we stand with Ukraine.”
Along with Senator Cramer, the bipartisan CODEL includes Senators Rob Portman (R-OH), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).
