Sens. Johnson and Baldwin Congratulate University of Wisconsin Women’s Volleyball Teams on Division Championships in Senate Resolutions

WASHINGTON – Following the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship victory by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the 2021 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship victory by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Sens. Johnson and Baldwin congratulated the teams with resolutions celebrating their championship winning seasons.

“Whereas the University of Wisconsin women’s volleyball team defeated the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers in a thrilling 5-set match to win the program’s first ever national championship. Resolved, That the Senate congratulates the University of Wisconsin Badgers on winning the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship,” the UW-Madison resolution read in part.

“Whereas the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s volleyball team defeated the Calvin University Knights in 3 sets to win the program’s first ever national championship.  Resolved, That the Senate congratulates the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugolds on winning the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship,” the UW-Eau Claire resolution read in part.
