WASHINGTON- Brendan Spaulding, a 2021 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, participated in Senator John Boozman’s (R-AR) Congressional Fall Internship Program in the nation’s capital.
While in Washington, Spaulding worked with Boozman’s team to provide the high-quality service Arkansans have learned to rely on from the senator. He also worked on projects to recognize Arkansas veterans, attended speaking events and spent time shadowing the senator at meetings and Senate hearings.
“This has been an extraordinary opportunity to work in Senator Boozman’s office. I already had a strong belief that the senator has a deep love for the state of Arkansas before I came to Washington, but my time as an intern showed me that Senator Boozman cares about the Natural State by demonstrating his commitment to Arkansans each day and makes them a priority. Hiring staff members from Arkansas and always going out of his way to meet as many Arkansans as possible made a positive impression on me. I have learned a lot through my 10 weeks in the office, and will always be grateful for the opportunity to intern for the senator and the relationships I have made with his staff and my fellow Arkansans,” Spaulding said.
“Brendan has been a tremendous asset to my staff and me during his time in Washington. I appreciate his commitment and dedication to serving Arkansans and being an ambassador for the Natural State and my office,” Boozman said.
Spaulding, a native of Portland, is a 2017 graduate of Hamburg High School. He studied political science at UAM and plans on pursuing a law degree. He is the son of James and Lorenda Spaulding.
