BISMARCK – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, released the following Veterans Day video message today:
“Today we pause to celebrate the service and the sacrifice of America’s veterans. I’m tremendously grateful our veterans answered the call to serve, and it’s because of their dedication to our nation we’re able to cherish our liberties and our God-given rights. As we honor our veterans today and everyday, may we remember the sacrifices they made to protect our freedom.
“Just a couple of weeks ago, my personal hero Lynn Aas passed away. Lynn was 100 years old. He was a World War II veteran from Minot, North Dakota. He embodied the selfless service and sacrifice of all veterans, not just while serving in the military, but his entire life. So today I honor his life and service, as well as the life and service of all of those who have served.
“To our veterans and to their families, thank you for all you do and sacrifice. May God bless you and our great country.”
