WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today released the following statement on the EPA’s announcement of plans for new rules to reduce PFAS pollution from key industries:

“I’m encouraged that the Biden administration is taking a step in the right direction to curb the discharges of PFAS, so-called ‘forever chemicals’ that present a sinister and pervasive threat to our nation’s health and economy. Putting limits on these toxic substances will help address the widespread PFAS contamination that has devastated so many communities and families across the country. We must continue our efforts to tackle these dangerous toxins.”
