WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $3,493,818 to the City of Mansfield to perform sealing and crack repair along a terminal apron surface, to reconstruct the existing terminal apron pavement, and to fund the design phase of reconstructing the existing general aviation apron pavement and existing taxilane pavement at Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport.

“Ohio airports are vital infrastructure supporting travel and commerce in our state,” said Brown. “This investment will provide Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport with the resources they need to ensure the safety of their passengers and support the local economy for years to come.”

The FAA supports public-use airports included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) through the Airport Improvement Program. The program supports projects that improve airport safety, capacity, security and environmental impact. More information about the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program can be found here.
