Madison, WI – On Monday, August 23rd,  U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin will visit Mineral Point, Platteville and Steuben.  

Mineral Point

Senator Baldwin will tour of American Wine Project to highlight her work passing the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act, which reduces federal excise tax on beer, spirits and wine.

Platteville

Senator Baldwin will hold a roundtable discussion with local Platteville leaders about the need to expand access to affordable and reliable high speed broadband and her vote for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The bipartisan legislation makes a historic investment to create jobs and rebuild America’s infrastructure, and passed the Senate 69-30.

Steuben

Senator Baldwin will meet with Crawford County officials and local leaders to the need to build more climate resilient infrastructure. Baldwin’s bipartisan Rebuilding Stronger Infrastructure Act was included in the Senate-passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The bill allows federal funding from DOT’s Emergency Relief program—which is used to repair roads and bridges after natural disasters—to be used by state departments of transportation for protective features designed to mitigate the risk of recurring damage or the cost of future repairs for extreme weather events, flooding or other natural disasters.
