WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, today announced a grant for $94,900 to construct a farmers market pavilion in Benton Harbor. These funds come from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Business Development Grant Program.
“Congratulations to the City of Benton Harbor on receiving this funding to build a farmers market pavilion! This will allow the residents of Benton Harbor to have greater access to local fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s a win-win that will support local farmers and businesses and create local jobs,” said Senator Stabenow.
