Tuberville on Kudlow: “You can tell President Biden is being controlled by the far-left of the Democratic Party”

Tuberville discussed the extension of the eviction ban, the benefit of Right to Work protections, and infrastructure

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined Fox Business’ ‘Kudlow’ to discuss President Biden’s unilateral action to go around the U.S. Supreme Court and extend the eviction moratorium; rumblings of an additional vote to unionize at the Amazon facility in Bessemer, Alabama; and the infrastructure bill’s impact on the national debt.

Excerpts from Senator Tuberville’s interview can be found below and the full interview can be found here.

On President Biden’s Unlawful Extension of the Eviction Moratorium Ban:

TUBERVILLE: “…as a matter of fact it is 47 billion, Larry, and they’ve only spent $3 billion of it, 7%. Which makes no sense. Alabama Realtors Association filed the first lawsuit right after it was passed. This is just lack of leadership. You can tell President Biden is being controlled by the far-left of the Democratic Party. A bunch of them decided they couldn’t get their way of keeping this moratorium going, so they slept on the Capitol steps a few nights. That’s how the Democrats are doing it. They push their agenda, if they don’t like what is going on, they’re going to try to get somebody to do it by some other means. And it’s just unfortunate for the people that, they need to pay their rent too, they got to pay their bills, Larry. It is a tough situation for everybody, but I read this morning, I think in the Wall Street Journal, it’s premeditated lawlessness – [that’s] exactly what this is…society of entitlements, Larry, that’s what this is all becoming. Socialism, it is right on the doorstep. they’re pushing the agenda every day.”

On Rumblings of Another Vote to Unionize at the Amazon facility in Bessemer, Alabama:

TUBERVILLE: “Well, another example [of people] not getting their way, they lost in a fair election and now they’re complaining. They want a recount. They want to vote again. The National Labor Relations Board needs to step back and say, ‘listen, this is over.’ They won fair and square, 3 to 1…we’re a Right to Work state. The PRO Act, which they will try to push through, I don’t know whether they try to get it through the budget reconciliation or not, but the PRO Act states that they want to take away all Right to Work states, 27 states, take their rights away…we’re a free country. We have liberties. A Constitution. Government needs to get out of the way and let people make their own decisions.”

KUDLOW: “Senator Tuberville, what is wrong with worker choice and worker freedom? That’s the issue. What’s wrong with that?”

TUBERVILLE: “Big government can’t control them. They want to control everything. Big government is getting in the way.”

On Paying for Infrastructure:

TUBERVILLE: “I think there will be some doubt. Pay-fors for this, Larry, for $550 billion? Now we’re getting ready to do $3.5 trillion. Who’s going to pay for that one? The American taxpayer.”

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, and HELP Committees.
