Burr Statement on Passing of Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld

Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) today released the following statement on the passing of former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld:

“Donald Rumsfeld dedicated his career to public service, whether in uniform as a young naval pilot, holding office, or as Secretary of Defense during the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history. He was a true patriot who was guided always by his faith in God and in our great country. His greatest joy in life was his family, and my thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn his passing.”
