Menendez Announces 15 NJ Students Appointed to U.S. Military Service Academies

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) today announced the appointments of 15 New Jersey high school seniors to the four U.S. Military service academies. Each student received a nomination from the Senator.

 

“Our military academies accept only the best and brightest of this generation and transform them into future leaders of the armed forces that protect and preserve our nation and its freedoms,” Sen. Menendez said. “I commend their willingness to serve our country and represent our great state. I wish them luck as they embark on this new adventure.”

 

Sen. Menendez’s nominees for the service academies were chosen for their excellent academic records, leadership potential and strong character, among other criteria. Listed below are the nominees, their hometown, and respective high schools:

 

U.S. Military Academy at West Point

·       Patrick McCabe: Madison, St. Peter’s Preparatory School

·       Jacob Cunha: Watchung, Union Catholic Regional High School

·       Justin Chrostowski: Butler, Morris County School of Technology

·       John Lee: Fort Lee, Fort Lee High School

·       Kennedy Munz: Hoboken, Marymount School of New York

 

U.S. Naval Academy

·       Lilliana Gemma: Flemington, Hunterdon Central High School

·       Alexander Vester: Ridgewood, Bergen Catholic High School

·       Sanjana Basu Mallick: Edison, John P. Stevens High School

 

U.S. Air Force Academy

·       Brandon Tilp: Creskill, Creskill High School

·       Emily Ruehle: Little Egg Harbor Township, Pinelands Regional High School

·       Matthew Kleczynski: Clark, Union County Magnet High School

·       Stanley Finlayson: Maplewood, Columbia High School

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
