WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee that sets national health policy and an original author of the Affordable Care Act, today celebrated the Supreme Court of the United States’ decision to dismiss a challenge to the ACA that will uphold the law and protect health care coverage for millions of Americans:
“This is a great day of relief for millions of Americans who have insurance because of the Affordable Care Act. In the midst of a global pandemic, the last thing we need is to have the insurance coverage of Americans ripped away. It’s time Republicans stop attacking the health care coverage of families across the nation, but I doubt this is the last time they’ll try. So, while the fight to expand and secure quality, affordable health insurance continues, today we can proudly say that the ACA is the law of the land.”
