[WASHINGTON, D.C] – U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) today met virtually with freshman members of the Illinois House of Representatives to discuss her legislative priorities, including water infrastructure and bringing federal funding to state and local governments through the American Rescue Plan.
“It was great to connect with so many new members of the Illinois House today and learn more about their priorities in Springfield,” Duckworth said. “I look forward to continuing to work with our state and local leaders on important issues for Illinoisans like improving our water infrastructure and ensuring our local governments have the necessary resources to recover from COVID-19.”
Duckworth was joined by a bipartisan group of new Illinois House members including Representatives Denyse Wang Stoneback (IL-HD-16), Angelica Guerrero-Cuellar (IL-HD-22), Janet Yang Rohr (IL-HD-41), Seth Lewis (IL-HD-45), Maura Hirschauer (IL-HD-49), Dave Vella (IL-HD-68), Paul Jacobs (IL-HD-115) and David Friess (IL-HD-116).
