WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after receiving an “A+” rating on the Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-Life Scorecard.
“I am honored to receive an A+ rating on the 2021 Susan B. Anthony List National Pro-Life Scorecard. I have always worked hard to introduce and support legislation that supports the right to life. I will continue to fight for pro-life policies that benefit mothers and the unborn,” said Senator Fischer.
Senator Fischer is a cosponsor of critical pro-life legislation, including:
- Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (S.61)
- SAVE Moms and Babies Act (S.78)
- Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S.123)
In July of last year, Senator Fischer joined a Supreme Court amicus brief in support of Mississippi’s state law, which prohibits abortions after 15 weeks.
While serving in the Nebraska State Legislature, then-State Sen. Fischer supported the passage of bipartisan legislation to establish a statewide ban on most abortions after 20 weeks.
